COVID-19 Safety Update

We intend to deliver a first class conference experience in a safe environment in compliance with all Republic of Ireland COVID-19 safety and mitigation measures which are published here:  https://www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/c36c85-covid-19-coronavirus/

As of December 7, 2021 according to The Government of Ireland:

Over 90 percent of the population over age 12 are fully vaccinated, with almost 92 percent of eligible population (aged 12 and over) having received at least 1 dose. https://covid19ireland-geohive.hub.arcgis.com/pages/vaccinations

Travelling to Ireland
From Sunday 6 March 2022, travellers to Ireland are not required to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative PCR test result upon arrival. There are no post-arrival testing or quarantine requirements for travellers to Ireland. Any individual that develops COVID-19 symptoms while in Ireland should follow the HSE guidance in relation to isolation and undertaking antigen or PCR testing as appropriate.

Passenger Locator Form
From Sunday 6 March 2022, travellers to Ireland are no longer asked to complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form. Travel carriers will not ask to check a PLF receipt prior to travel to Ireland.

·  For those who require a COVID test to return to their country of origin, there are multiple approved test sites located throughout Dublin. We strongly urge you to book your appointment well in advance as June is be a busy travel month. The test site closest to the Westin Dublin is Certior (Go Safe 48).

·  For those returning to the US on a non stop flight from Dublin you will clear US customs prior to your departure. Please allow ample time, at least 3 hours, as US customs and immigration queues can be very long.

Travel from the Airport to Dublin City

  • Aircoach is a leading private coach operator and provides  scheduled coach services to and from Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport.  

  • The Airlink is an express service that travels from the airport to Dublin’s main bus station Busaras, then to O’Connell Street in the city centre and onto Heuston, one of Dublin’s main train stations.

  • Taxis are available directly outside Terminal 1 & Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport. Passengers should follow Taxi signage to the designated taxi ranks. A taxi dispatcher is available at either taxi rank if you require any further information or assistance. The Dublin Westin is approximately 8 km from the airport with an estimated fare of €30 one way. Taxis are also available via the ‘Free Now’ app via the Apple App Store and Google Play

Getting around Dublin

Getting around Dublin is relatively easy. Dublin is a walkable city and has an excellent public transport network including Intercity trains, as well as a large fleet of taxis.

Currency

The official currency of Ireland is the Euro (€). All major credit cards are accepted in most service and retail outlets. 

Tipping 

There is not a strong tipping culture in Ireland, however many locals and visitors tend to tip for certain services, restaurants and taxis. If you want to tip, 10% is a good rule of thumb. All tips are at your discretion.
