Friday Afternoon & Evening: Montreux & Château de Chillon
Begin your weekend exploring the charm of Montreux. Stroll the flower-lined lakeside promenade to discover its rich musical heritage, including the iconic Freddie Mercury Statue and the recording history that shaped Queen's legacy. Next, journey just along the shore to step inside the legendary Château de Chillon, Switzerland’s famed 12th-century island fortress. Explore its medieval halls and subterranean vaults with scenic views over Lake Geneva before enjoying a relaxing, free evening in Montreux.
Saturday: UNESCO Vineyards, Alpine Villages & Swiss Fondue
Saturday offers a full day of spectacular views and culinary traditions across the Swiss Riviera:
Morning in Lavaux: Ascend into the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Lavaux Vineyard Terraces. Take a private guided stroll through the dramatic steep-sloped vineyards, culminating in an exclusive tasting of fine local vintages overlooking Lake Geneva.
Midday Dining: Sit down for a memorable lunch at Restaurant Tout un Monde in Grandvaux, famous for its regional dishes and glass dining room overlooking the water and surrounding Alps.
Afternoon in Gruyères: Travel into the Pre-Alps to the medieval, traffic-free village of Gruyères. Wander the 800-year-old cobblestone streets up to the historic castle walls, taking time to browse artisan shops along the main square.
Evening Celebration: Conclude the day at Restaurant Gruyère Traditions with a traditional Swiss dinner. To mark the occasion, enjoy a private 30-minute folklore performance featuring traditional Alphorn players and Swiss flag throwers before returning to Montreux.
Global Radiology CME Tip: If you’re ending your trip after this excursion, consider flying home from Geneva Airport (GVA). Its proximity to Montreux may make it more convenient than flying from Zurich and may also offer more competitive fares.

We will provide a full refund minus 10% administration fee until January 30, 2027. No refunds after this date.
There is a minimum number of participants required by our tour vendor Swiss Escapes. In the unlikely event that this tour is cancelled by Global Radiology CME, we will refund the registration fee in full.
