Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians and other health care providers involved in the care of patients with diseases of the brain, spine, bones, breasts and intra-abdominal organs.

Educational Objectives

1. ​Improve performance and interpretation of brain, breast, thoracic and abdominal imaging studies.
2. Recognize the uses and limitations of CT and MRI for various body applications and organ systems.
3. Recognize the appearance of tumors and/or traumatic injury of the prostate, breast, lung, and intra-abdominal organs.
4. Understand the techniques used to perform and interpret CT and MRI of the brain, spine, bones and joints.
5. State the clinical indications and optimal approach for radiological approach to emergency imaging evaluation of the chest, abdomen and pelvis.
6. Understand the techniques used to perform and interpret mammography, ultrasound, and MRI of the breasts.
7. State the clinical indications and optimal approach for radiological approach to emergency imaging evaluation of the brain, chest, and abdomen.
8. Recognize the appearance of tumors of the pelvis.

Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of PeerPoint Medical Education Institute and Global Radiology CME. USA and Canada:

This activity will be planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the United States of America standard accrediting bodies. We plan to designate this live activity for a maximum of 21 hrs of CME/CPD. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

United Kingdom:

Europe:

Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS) - (European Union of Medical Specialists) Mutual Recognition Agreement with the American Medical Association (AMA). 

Following the agreement on the mutual recognition of credits between the AMA and the UEMS-EACCME®, European physicians can earn their ECMEC®s by attending live events worldwide, except in Europe, that have been certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
Australia and New Zealand:

According to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), Australian and New Zealand participants in this conference are able to claim up to 21 hours of CPD, with 15 hours of MRI. 

South Africa:

According to the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), South African participants in this conference are able to claim up to 21 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). 

Israel:

Israeli physicians may claim credit according to the rules of their professional licensing body.

Self-Assessment CME

According to the American Board of Radiology (ABR)2022 will be the final year that the ABR will require diplomates completing their Online Longitudinal Assessment (OLA) annual progress requirement to complete self-assessment CME (SA-CME or SAM) . For this reason, Global Radiology CME has decided not to offer SAM for Imaging in Israel 2023.
