About the Tour
Meet the guide at 9:00 a.m. at The Inbal Hotel.
Jerusalem is a meeting place for East and West, new and old, beauty and ruins, sacred to the three major monotheistic religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam - all adding to its uniqueness. On this tour you will visit the most significant sights of Jerusalem. Experience its religious sanctity, its historical sites, scents and colors.
Drive to the City of David, where Jerusalem began. See archaeology with names from the Bible and see the palatial building from the time of King David. Walk through the Canaanite Tunnel (dry path) tunnel.
Drive up the hill to the Western Wall, one of the holiest places for the Jewish people.
Then enter the Old City. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, the path Jesus took on his final day. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site of Jesus’ crucifixion. See the ancient Byzantine Cardo and the Hurva Synagogue in the Jewish Quarter.
Stop for lunch in one of the many eateries in the area. Continue from the Jewish Quarter to Mount Zion. See the Room of Last Supper where Jesus spent his final meal with his disciples, as depicted in the famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. It is located on the second floor, just above the Tomb of King David. Visit the Tomb of King David, sacred to both Jews and Christians as a forefather of both the Messiah and Jesus.
Continue to Mount of Olives. Overlook the Old and New cities from Mount of Olives, where Jesus spent his last week. See the Garden of Gethsemane and view the Temple Mount. See the many Jewish graves on the mountain.
